Abigail

Ok so remember the dinner party I talked about in my earlier post...well here is day 2 of that weekend! Our one set of friends who came for dinner are actually from Delaware and so they spent the night at our house in NJ. I had taken some pictures of their daughter the night before but decided to do some more Sunday morning and I am really happy with the results! I set up this mini studio in my kitchen and I think I found my new favorite place to shoot!

So if you remember, last summer I had taken some photos of Susan when she was 7 months pregnant with her little love. Her daughter, Abigail, is now 6 months old and just as cute as a button! She definitely gets her good looks from her parents who both have model-like features! She is a great baby too - I have yet to witness her cry! She is super smiley and playful and I think it really shows in her pictures.

Here she is...what a beauty!

Jen and her son Nicholas

We had a dinner party recently and I had promised my friends I'd take some photos when we got together; family photos, baby photos, whatever they wanted! Well, this turned out to be quite a task because being Italian I of course was cooking up a storm and prepping for 2+ days! It is hard to get everything done; the cooking, the baking, the cleaning PLUS play a good host, oh and take pictures too! I love it though and actually wish I had more time that day for the actual photo session! I like to work with natural light but we were having so much fun hanging out and catching up that we didn't get to set up the shoot until later. We''ll first up was Jen - she was 8 1/2 months pregnant here with her 2nd child! Doesn't she look fabulous?!

Her son Nicholas is as happy as a clam and really loved having his photo taken! I love the crazy faces he made!!! He is also a very well behaved 2 year old and always says please and thank you which I found to be so sweet! Jenn and her husband Justin are doing a great job raising him!

I am actually going to see their family again this weekend and am excited to meet their newest addition: Anthony! I am hoping to get some more pictures of their beautiful faces and work with some natural light this time! Yay I cannot wait!

Easter Eggs

Did I ever mention that my family is multi-talented? Not only are they beautiful inside and out and such wonderful, loving people - but boy they can PAINT! This past Easter we were all together: my 2 sisters, my parents and my husband and we decided to do what every family does, well not quite every family, but we painted Easter eggs! The only difference between my family and other families is we didn't break out the old dip-your-eggs-in-dye kit...nope. Instead my sisters whipped out the acrylic paints, Dick Blick paint brushes (in all sizes) and went to town on the Easter eggs.

As for me, I am not a painter but I took a stab at it anyway! I think my only talents are in photography but hey, I tried!

Look at what the artists, ahem, I mean family members produced:

Me - I went for easy flowers and an eggplant!

Even Dad got in on the action! We did have a laugh though because we thought his looked like a blow-up doll!

Matt did a Jets egg (ofcourse)

And last but not least, the Easter bunny did make an appearance on Sunday!
